About the program
The ACT Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation (ACCO) Workforce Traineeship Grants Program 2026 supports eligible ACT Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned Registered Training Organisations to create new paid traineeships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live or work in the ACT.
Organisations may seek up to $250,000, excluding GST, to support new traineeship opportunities. This may include employing a trainee directly or hosting a trainee employed by a Group Training Organisation.
The program supports formal traineeships that combine paid employment, a registered training contract and nationally recognised vocational education and training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation.
Refer to the following documents when completing your EOI. They are available at ACT Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation Workforce Traineeship Grants Program.
1. Program Guidelines
2. Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation (ACCO) Applicant Planning Guide
3. ACT ACCO Traineeship EOI Template (complete Part A and upload to this form)
Eligible EOIs will be assessed against two equally weighted criteria:
- Workforce need and proposed pathway - 50%
- Organisational commitment and trainee support - 50%
